I received a phone call from Alexis Hotel stating that there was a gas leak, and that I could cancel free of charge by going back through the Booking app. I attempted to do exactly that, and it said that I had to reach out to the hotel, as there was no free cancellation. It said I had to pay the whole night anyway. So, I reached out to the hotel, through the messages on the Booking app just as the Alexis Hotel also reached out to me, as they sent me a message first. And nothing. No refund. Only a message stating that Alexis Hotel canceled my stay at 10am the next morning. That means they lied on the phone, and I was still charged for the full night all because I didn’t want to risk staying in a hotel with a gas leak.
